Vanessa Hudgens heads out for a bite to eat with boyfriend Austin Butler in Los Angeles on Tuesday afternoon (November 29).

After lunch, the 22-year-old actress, wearing Simdog’s Painted Bow tee, headed off solo to pick up a few groceries at Whole Foods Market.

Remember Vanessa’s meeting with a moose? It turns out that was Jack the Moose, and he lives at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center.

Along with mom Gina and sister Stella, the Hudgens girls stopped by the center earlier this month to visit and met some other wildlife: two rambunctious two-year-old Kodiak brown bears – “Taquka” and “Shaguyik” – as well as lynx, muskox, caribou, bison, elk, fox, coyote, black bears and birds of prey.

The 22-year-old actress and the 20-year-old actor grabbed lunch at 26 Beach restaurant before hopping onto their bikes and riding down the boardwalk.

ABC Family’s surprise hit series “Switched At Birth” aired 10 very successful episodes over the summer of 2012… and then extended the series by another 22 episodes.

Yes, that means that when “Switched at Birth” returns in January, it won’t actually be Season 2 — but an extension of a super-long, super-awesome first season.

The network has officially announced January 3, 2012 as “Switched At Birth’s” return date — meaning it will now air on a new day and time, Tuesdays at 8 p.m. Bay’s biological father, Angelo (Gilles Marini) will be sticking around as a recurring guest star, as will Oscar winner Marlee Matlin and our favorite troublesome teen Austin Butler.

Last summer, “Switched at Birth” launched with the highest original series debut ABC Family’s history in its target demo.

Austin Butler, who has been recurring on ABC Family’s Switched At Birth, is set to star in a potential new series for the network. Butler has joined ABC Family’s hourlong pilot Intercept, a technology- and action-driven drama about four college students who get roped into solving crimes when one of them (Butler) creates a high-tech communication device that intercepts conversations throughout the West Coast. Butler joins recently cast Danielle Panabaker and Chloe Wang.

Award-Winning Comedy “My Uncle Rafael” Lands Home at Slater Brothers Entertainment

Marc Fusco’s indie comedy “My Uncle Rafael” has been picked up by Slater Brothers Entertainment for a North American release. The film, which recently garnered three awards at the Arpa International Film Festival, is expected to come out in theaters and On Demand in early 2012.

Here’s the plot per Slater Brothers:
“My Uncle Rafael” follows an old Armenian Uncle who gets cast in a reality show and has one week to save a dysfunctional American family from breaking up. Directed and edited by filmmaker and former Spielberg assistant Marc Fusco, the film stars comedy veterans Missi Pyle (Charlie & the Chocolate Factory), John Michael Higgins (Couples Retreat), Anthony Clark (Yes, Dear), Joe Lo Truglio (Paul), Rachel Blanchard (Flight of the Concords), and introduces Vahik Pirhamzei as Rafael.
